Meet the Artist!

I have always enjoyed art from a very young age and am beyond grateful that enjoyment has followed me into adulthood. I am a self-taught freelance artist who specializes in portraiture. My skills have been developed through years of practice and study which is never-ending. I am relatively new in my "real" career as an artist but am learning more by the day. I am beyond grateful for all of the constant support I receive.

I love being presented with new opportunities to grow my skill sets, so see the "Commissions" tab and ask me about a Commission!

Commissions

What I Do...

I make art! As a commission-based artist, I primarily draw and paint portraits. I prodominantly work with graphite and acrylic paint but am constantly exploring and expanding my artistic skillset. However, I also explore other artistic ideas presented to me by clients for commission as well. I very recently have begun selling prints of my original works and am hoping doing so makes my art more accessible.

I have been doing art professionally for 5 years, since I was 16 years old. My love for art began very young. As a adolescent who struggled with my mental health, I found art to be an effective escape. When I finally felt comfortable enough to show my art to others, I realized the impact that it has on those around me. It helped me realize I was not alone and influenced me to get the help I needed. It also provided a gateway to allow me to help others who were going through similar struggles.

My art then developed into portraiture. I love exploring the individuality of people. After being asked frequently to draw specific people, I decided to begin doing commission work and sold my first commission for $5! I've since began learning the real worth of my art and connected with so many lovely people!

The impact that art can make has always been something I've enjoyed witnessing and being a part of.

Tribute to my Mother

My mother passed away 3/22/23. I was lucky enough to have had a wonderful mom that made sure I knew she was proud of me. She always supported my pursuit of art and I know that she'd want me to continue. She was my best friend and greatest support. I will forever be thankful to have known and loved her.

  • I been blessed to have worked with the amazing people of Lionheart Whiskey Co. on multiple occasions! They are truly exceptional people who have made a large impact in my career as an artist and in my life in general.

If you'd like to learn more about these amazing people and their wonderful whiskey, see the link below or stop by! They're located in the beautiful town of Hermann, Missouri and would love to share their hand-selected whiskey with you!

A little more about me...

I have many hobbies, and as someone with ADHD, I gain more frequently. I enjoy gardening, psychology, jujitsu, singing, watching plays and musicals, traveling, finances, and then anything that is remotely considered artistic (to an extent). I am currently pursuing my bachelor's degree in Finances with a minor in Economics. I am bilingual, speaking English as my first language and Spanish as my second (with some continued practice needed).

I am by no means an influencer, creator, or anything of the sort. Seriously, you shouldn't do most of the things I do. I am simply an artist who wants to do art, and maybe use art to pay my rent, I think that'd be cool. I am a very open and honest person, most of the time too open and honest. I am currently practicing having a filter, and it's not really working. I mentioned I'm bilingual, but I also speak fluent sarcasm. I love God, my dog, and sometimes my family. I am an imperfect perfectionist who's very detail oriented, it's a blessing and a curse.

I have traumas that often end up expressed in my art. I'm a firm believer that being open about things can help other's do the same. I go to therapy; my therapist is great!

I absolutely love seeing art works produced by other people and would love to support other artists as well. Feel free to reach out with your artist info so I can check out your stuff too!

I cannot thank everyone enough for the constant support that I am shown. It means the world to me!
